Ruth Matulka Woita, 94, of David City, died
Thursday, December 9, 2010, at St. Joseph's Villa in
David City.
Ruth was born October 10, 1916, in Seward County, Nebraska to Jacob
and Anna (Keller) Spahr.
She attended school in Seward County. On July 28, 1943, she
married Joe Matulka, Jr. at St.
Mary's Catholic Church in David City. He died April 19, 1962.
On December 13, 1971, Ruth
married Leonard Woita at Plasi. He died November 17,
2001.
Ruth
had worked several janitorial jobs and later worked as a Nurse's Aid at the David
City
Hospital for 15 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
Church and the PCCW.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce (Gary) Smith of David City,
one son, Donald (Yvonne)
Matulka of Columbus, and a sister, Viola Rohren of Seward. Five
grandchildren and eleven
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands,
son Ronald Matulka, sisters Elsie Lubbee and
Edna Hackbart and a brother Elmer Spahr.
