Obituary
Harold L. Rose, 70, of Port Orchard died of complications from heart surgery June 25, 2002, at
the Veterans Hospital in Seattle.
He was born March 1, 1932, in Midland, S.D., to John and Clarice (Morgan) Rose. He attended Swan
River High School in Swan River, Mont., graduating from Eureka High School in Eureka, Mont., in
1950.
He married Virginia Nelson on Jan. 20, 1953, in Olympia.
Mr. Rose was self-employed for 30 years.
He enjoyed making jewelry, wine and cultivating fruit. He was a member of Jehovah's
Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cynthia Rose of Sumner, Morgana Rose "Sharon" Seay of
Orting and Melissa Rose of Port Orchard; four brothers; two sisters; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. July 6 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Port
Orchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill
Chapel.
